EDUCATION

What Is DTF?

DTF stands for Direct-to-Film. Instead of printing straight onto a shirt, your artwork is printed onto a sheet of transfer film. A fine adhesive powder is applied and cured, which turns the printed design into a transfer you can press later.

When the transfer meets heat and pressure, the design releases from the film and stays on the garment. No screens, no color separations, no cutting around every shape by hand — which makes full-color artwork and small quantities practical.
