Build a Gang Sheet
Fit as many designs as you can onto one sheet of film. You are paying for area, not artwork — so a full sheet is always the cheapest way to buy transfers.
The drag-and-drop builder is still on the bench. Until it ships,
there are two ways to get exactly the same result — and the nesting option below
usually fits more onto a sheet than laying it out by hand.
HOW GANG SHEETS WORK
Why One Big Sheet Beats Many Small Ones
Gang sheets are sold by area. A 22" × 24" sheet costs the same whether you put one design on it or thirty — so every empty inch is money you have already spent.
That is why the cost per print drops so sharply as you fill a sheet, and why stepping up to a longer sheet is almost always cheaper per design than ordering several short ones.
Rough cost comparison
Both of these buy the same total film area, but one costs noticeably less:
- Five 22" × 12" sheets — $8 each, $40 total
- One 22" × 60" sheet — $29 total
Same 1,320 square inches, $11 apart. Add the quantity discount on top and the gap widens further.
